About
Asja Boroš is a freelance illustrator based in Zagreb area, Croatia.
She was born in 1982. in Vukovar, Croatia. In 2001. she graduated from Lucijan Vranjanin High School in Zagreb (focusing in languages, English, German and Spanish).
In 2006. she got a degree in animation from University of Zagreb, Academy of Fine Arts, Department of animation and new media.
In 2008. she decided to shift her focus from animation and video editing to illustration.
She loves to draw simple, cute and sometimes silly characters: chubby birds, happy woodland animals, unusual and weird jellyfish, and cheerful boys and girls. Her main inspiration comes from nature, changing of the seasons and she also likes to draw trees, flowers, clouds and colorful patterns. Creativity and color schemes play important role in her work too. In her illustrations she tries to express feelings of happiness and unconditional joy.
Her other interests are photography, blogging, collecting cameras (especially toy and analog ones). Other random stuff that make her happy are: chilly Autumn mornings, cooking, drinking very strong black coffee, going on long (photo) walks, learning new skills, watching really bad, trashy movies, writing to-do lists, listening to obscure 90′s punk rock bands, loving everything that has to do with Japan and million other things.
Other places you can find her on the web:
unconditional joy of living ( photo diary)
three little cameras (old blog)
Magazine contributions:
