sqirrel forest pattern
I hope you haven’t got too bored with my pattern designs by now, but if you have, you will be happy to hear this is the last one in series and I won’t be posting any new patterns for now (well, at least now this month anymore). This, latest (and last) pattern features a little squirrel that resides in colorful forest and is very good friends with wolf, fox and  deer :)

This squirrel (and so do I) wishes you all happy Monday and a wonderful week!

wolf in socks pattern-small

Do you strive to  live in harmony with nature and your surroundings? Well, this Wolf sure does, he got himself a pair of stripey socks that match colors of his forest and birds that inhabit it.

As you might have guessed  this is my new pattern design, I’m really enjoying making them, it’s so much fun! For this particular design I used a slightly different color combination than my usual- I used more pink and greys ( for some reason I usually try to stay away from pink, I don’t know why) but I’m happy with the result. This is the 5th pattern design I did in last month or so (and all are available here) so scroll down to see details of previous 4 if you haven’t already :)

fox in wood-small
Another week, another pattern design, I must be on a roll :) This, latest design features a little, friendly fox ( two previous ones featured a spoiled, regal cat and a nature loving deer).

Here’s a better look at the fox:

I like the design of (clearly mid-century design inspired) “woods” on it’s own, I think it would make a lovely, simple pattern design, as well:

As, usual, the design can be found in Society 6 store (that offers free shipping until April 14).

hello
Hello! Hello! How has your week been? For the past seven days I’ve been very busy, which turned out to be really awesome for several reasons. One of the reasons is, I’ve been so busy I didn’t even have time to complain about bad weather we’ve been having all week long (rain-snow-rain). But I’m sure craving some sunshine soon!

caffeine cat

Do you know what else I’ve been craving lately? Coffee! I haven’t had much sleep last week and with so many things to do I’ve been literally drinking liters of coffee to keep myself awake and productive (and it also made me look like that caffeine addicted cat above :))

hungry marten

I’ve been also craving some delicious meal  (not a burger like this grumpy marten) since I didn’t have time to cook anything decent past week. Actually, this doodle of a marten was inspired by a recent visit to a local exchange office and  some “decor” I noticed in there. First, here’s little explanation for non-Croatian readers: Croatian monetary currency (kuna) is named after an animal (kuna means marten). So, when I walked into a local exchange office I noticed an interesting piece of taxidermy, a dead stuffed marten, looking very threatening, holding a 2 kuna coin in it’s open jaws. (A kuna (marten) holding a kuna (marten) coin in it’s jaws-what a brilliant decoration for an exchange office! Wow!)

Anyway, that was my inspiration for this doodle, that and a fact I was hungry when I sketched it :) And come to think of it I’m still feeling a bit hungry so I’m off to prepare something warm and delicious and then rest and enjoy what is left  of this Sunday afternoon. I hope you have  a good one too!

royal cat-small

Royal cat is the title of my latest illustration turned seamless pattern. Unlike my last pattern I preferred this one in dark version, I think it makes cat appear even more regal :) I had a lot of fun drawing all the flowers for this one and coloring them using my favorite color palette (yellow-orange-red-lightblue-green). And,of course, it’s no surprise, as well as on my blog and flickr royal cat found it’s home in my Society 6 shop.

spring deer -small

Let me introduce my newest pattern design called Spring deer, it combines some things I’m very fond of: deers, flowers and spring :) …and it’s available in my Society 6 too!

I also made a slightly different version of the pattern (darker version), but it turned out to be a little too 3D for my taste so I decided lighter one is my favorite. But, I’m really nice so I’ll show you the dark version as well :)

in bloom -small

I designed a new seamless, flower pattern that’s similar to mixed media art pieces I’ve been working on lately, I called it In bloom and made several versions of it. Version you see above is available in my Society 6 shop.

I was thinking all of the versions of a patter would be nice as fabric designs. Lighter version would look lovely on table cloths and linen and dark version would be cool as scarf design. I’m seriously considering dabbling more into fabric design in future :)

blue garden-small
This is another addition to my latest series of mixed media art pieces called Blue garden. It’s done with rollers (uni-ball eye micro pens) and acrylic paint on 125 lbs (270 g/m2) watercolor paper, 12×18 inches (30,5 x 45,5 cm) in size.

Here are some details…

…as well as all four pieces done so far for this series:

For now I’ll be taking a short break from working on this series so I can focus on other work but I’m looking forward to adding more pieces to it in the future.
