I made this silly illustration in honor of film photography day, which is tomorrow (April 12th). Of course, I will celebrate it by shooting a roll (or maybe 2) and I’m starting this afternoon :)

I designed a new seamless, flower pattern that’s similar to mixed media art pieces I’ve been working on lately, I called it In bloom and made several versions of it. Version you see above is available in my Society 6 shop.

I was thinking all of the versions of a patter would be nice as fabric designs. Lighter version would look lovely on table cloths and linen and dark version would be cool as scarf design. I’m seriously considering dabbling more into fabric design in future :)

This is another addition to my latest series of mixed media art pieces called Blue garden. It’s done with rollers (uni-ball eye micro pens) and acrylic paint on 125 lbs (270 g/m2) watercolor paper, 12×18 inches (30,5 x 45,5 cm) in size.
Here are some details…

…as well as all four pieces done so far for this series:

For now I’ll be taking a short break from working on this series so I can focus on other work but I’m looking forward to adding more pieces to it in the future.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Do you have some special plans? I haven’t got any, I’m just hoping to get some rest and take it easy for the next couple of days. Being lazy is good for the soul sometimes :)

Over the weekend I finished my latest piece called Spring shower. It’s a mixed media piece (done with acrylics and black rollers) 12×18 inches in size done on thick watercolor paper.
Here is a little glimpse into how it looked like while working on it:

And here is a look at the details of the finished piece:

Spring shower is the third in the series of drawings/mixed media pieces I’ve started this year:

You can see previous two pices in more detail here (Red alert) and here (Rose patch).
And just like those two pieces Spring shower is available in my Society 6 shop (which, btw offers free shipping on most items until March 17).

Happy (almost) Spring everyone!

So, it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow. To be honest, I’m not into it but these two little houses are. They can’t get enough of each other :)

Well, hello there! It’s certainly been a while since I last posted something on this old blog of mine (or at least it feels like that). The truth is I’ve been very, very busy in the best possible way. I’ve been working on some projects I can not yet reveal so this site will stay silent a little bit longer.
But, if you have time, take a peek at lovely Drenka’s Crochet blog and try and guess who designed her new blog banner (wink, wink).
As usual I’m sending you all lots of love and to all my dear Croatian readers: I hope you are all someplace warm, safe and comfortable (p.s.: snijeg i zima su super, al’ ja se nadam da će se proljeće ipak požuriti :))

Today’s message: Follow your heart. It will not lead you astray.

Happy weekend everyone!

This is a quick drawing I did last night before going to bed (it’s done on A4 size paper with watercolor pencils and Pilot G-TEC-C4 black pen). Still waiting for the first (or is it officially second?) snow of the season. Let it snow!

I was curious if I could combine word curiosity and a doodle of a cat and I think it kinda worked :)
I wish you all a curious weekend filled with wonderment and joy!
